Doctorate Dr. Meyer
We congratulate Dr.-Ing. Annika Meyer on the successful defense of her PhD thesis with the title "Echtzeitfähige Schätzung generischer Linienzüge für das kartenlose automatisierte Fahren mittels Deep Learning".
During her PhD, Annika pushed the topic of automated driving purely based on sensor data. She presented solutions focusing on lane detection and intersection estimation in urban environments. With her PhD thesis she presents a neural architecture called YOLinO that is able to predict polylines in images with a single inference step. This enables a broad range of applications including online map detection.
