TT-Professorship "Embodied Robotics"

MRT is opening a new chapter: We are searching for an outstanding researcher to join our institute as Tenure-Track Professor (W1) in Embodied Robotics – with a clear path to a permanent W3 professorship. We're looking for someone who is passionate about bridging the gap between physical robotic systems and software-based AI. Whether your focus is on sensorimotor intelligence, autonomous learning robots, foundation models, human-robot interaction, or real-world applications in medicine, mobility, or care – what matters to us is bold, original research driven by your own vision.

As part of our team, you'll help shape the new Master's program "Robotics and Embodied AI" and collaborate across disciplines with research groups in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science at KIT, as well as the new Research School for Applied AI connAIx.
